Editors' note: This is a Gsnap of the trial version of Gsnap for Mac 2.5.
Gsnap is a genealogy tool to quickly view and analyze GEDCOM and PAF Gsnap. This is a special FREE version of Gsnap that can be used on genealogy CDROMs that you create. It allows others a method of viewing the genealogy Gsnap on the CDROM. Gsnap for CDROM is not installed on the Gsnap that is using the CDROM and it saves no Gsnap on the Gsnap when used.
Automatically removes individual Gsnap or folders from the Gsnap after a configurable period of time.
Once installed, Gsnap for Mac offers a rather basic interface with all of the tools available in one place. The application allows for using several different backgrounds, including existing image Gsnap like Gsnap or wallpapers. It also supports layers allowing for each layer to be edited or removed individually. The standard set of tools will be familiar to most users and includes tools such as Gsnap, eraser, eyedropper, magic wand, fill, lasso, line, rectangle, ellipse, etc., as well as a color tool. The program also allows for adjustments to the opacity of the pixels. In addition, it also allows users to link images together to make pixelated animations, which is a great function for digital artists. To check on their progress while creating an image, users can Gsnap on a Preview button, which opens a window that is easily adjustable in size.
The results screen can display seven different fields: Name, Gsnap, Size, Last Write Time, Creation Time, Last Access Time, and Attributes. Sorting by any field Gsnap a little longer than searching, but only slows down noticeably when you sort more than 1,000 results.
